For those of you just getting started in millinery, From the Neck Up: An Illustrated Guide to Hatmaking is one of those books that every milliner should have on their shelf. It's geared toward theatrical production but it covers basic construction methods for many types of hatmaking. I've had my copy for probably 20 years. I guess I shouldn't be surprised it's still in print!
