My friend Holly and her finance recently found a stray kitty near their home. The poor kitty was starving and has needed medical attention to help her get back on her sweet little feet. They are fostering Annapurrna until she is well enough to find a permanent loving home. To help pay the vet bills, they are selling some kitty-themed items in Holly's Etsy shop. Here's a bit more about Annapurrrna:
She appears to be around 10 years old, all white with gold eyes. She was starving and emaciated, with matted fur and a weeping eye infection when we found her. We brought her to the vet for a physical exam and got her some antibiotics and eye cream, then brought her home and have been feeding and loving her for several days. She has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FHIV, but has elevated thyroid and will need lifelong medication to regulate it. She also has slightly elevated liver and kidney tests, which may (we hope) come down once her thyroid function normalizes.
Annapurrrna is very sweet and affectionate, gentle and well behaved. She loves belly scratches and curling up in warm laps! She is adventurous and likes to explore; she's a little timid around other animals but non-confrontational, and may well adapt just fine to being in a household with other pets.
